Horizontal Vacuum Dryer

SIEHE’s new-generation horizontal plough vacuum dryer integrates mixing, drying, reaction, coating and granulation. It has obtained CE certification and meets ATEX explosion-proof requirements, widely used in battery materials, food, chemical, building materials and other industries. The V-shaped plough head features a parabolic curved surface and two-wing streamlined design. It is precision-cast and formed in one pass by a 5-axis machining center, featured of high strength and precision. The small clearance between plough and barrel wall reduces the impact of powder accumulation on heat transfer efficiency. Side-mounted high-speed choppers quickly disperse and deagglomerate clumping materials, prevent wet powder from agglomerating, and improve mixing and drying performance. The whole machine achieves a vacuum degree up to 5 mbar. The high-vacuum environment lowers the solvent boiling point, enabling high-efficiency low-temperature drying and greatly improving drying efficiency and effect. The main shaft and choppers adopt double-end integrated mechanical seals with open end-face and hygienic design, equipped with a 53 flushing system, which operates stably at a maximum temperature of 300 ℃ (main shaft with thermal expansion compensation) and under extreme vacuum from -0.1 MPa to 1 MPa. The machine is equipped with heating/cooling jackets. Heating/cooling media flow along a specific path for uniform and efficient heat transfer, and precise temperature control is realized with a mold temperature controller. Dust removal, condensation recovery and gas-solid separation units are installed at the front of the vacuum system to minimize raw material loss.

  • Self-Developed Discharge Ball Valve
    SIEHE pneumatic ball valve with unique structure ensures no interference with agitator during opening/closing. When closed, it fits perfectly to the inner wall for no dead zones. Equipped pulse cleaning-and-blowing, it ensures complete discharge.

Working Principle

Powder and liquid raw materials are fed into the horizontal plough dryer. The high-speed rotating plough agitators create strong axial and radial movement, generating intense turbulence in the mixing chamber to improve mixing uniformity and efficiency. With side-mounted high-speed choppers, materials are quickly dispersed and deagglomerated to avoid wet powder clumping. The heating jacket can be heated by hot water, hot oil or steam. During drying, dust is trapped by a pulse-jet dust collector, and solvent vapor is extracted by the vacuum pump. High vacuum lowers the solvent boiling point for low-temperature drying, greatly shortening heating/cooling time and boosting drying efficiency.
